Beijing's 13th Subway Malfunction of the Year Shuts Down Line 4 During Morning Rush | the Beijinger: The latest of a long line of morning rush hour delays to strike the Beijing Metro occurred Wednesday morning when an unspecified malfunction shut down parts of Line 4, causing numerous commuters to be late for work.Northbound subway service on Line 4 suddenly stopped at 8.40am on Wednesday between Pinganli Station (Line 6 interchange) and Caishikou Station (Line 7 interchange). Subway announcements told subway patrons to use alternative transportation if they did not want to wait.
